I first met Christina and Matt at their engagement session last summer. Their laid back attitudes and undeniable connection made photographing them a dream come true. I couldn’t wait to get them both back in front of my camera on their wedding day!

On a gorgeous summer day, Christina and Matt were married in front of their closest family and friends at the Church of Annunciation. Shortly after their ceremony, we traveled to The CV Rich Mansion in White Plains for portraits and their reception. It was a beautiful afternoon and the gardens at the Mansion were in full bloom with roses and astilbe flowers. We found so many lovely nooks filled with yummy golden light and I was able to capture so many timeless and heartfelt moments between the newlyweds. Christina looked stunning in her lace Alvina Valenta wedding dress and her gold heeled Jimmy Choo shoes while Matt’s classic look was made up of a tux from Brooks Brothers and Cole Haan shoes. Christina’s bridesmaids’ looked beautiful in their navy Bill Levkoff dresses. Christina’s summer bouquet was filled with roses and peonies. Guests enjoyed champagne, delcious cocktails and passed hor d’oeuvres on the mansion’s back patio for cocktail hour. As the sun began to set, Christina and Matt’s guests were escorted into the mansion in order to continue their evening. The Ernest Mills Band from Hank Lane had everyone up and dancing all night long {fun fact: they were actually my wedding band}! Christina and Matt’s wedding day was an extension of them as a couple. Their love for each other, their family and their friends was the focus of their day and I’m so grateful to have been able to capture so many wonderful moments. I know I say this a lot, but I really, really love my job.

If you have been following my blog and Instagram for awhile now then you already know that I love photographing weddings, my sweet pup and of course, my travels. So when it came time for my husband and I to decide on our next destination we agreed on Santorini, Greece. I knew I’d be in photography heaven! After a long flight to Athens followed by a quick flight to Santorini, we finally arrived at the Canaves Oia Hotel. This hotel was located on the northwest tip of Santorini in the picturesque village of Oia and this location provided us with the most stunning view of the Caldera and jaw dropping sunsets.

Each day was filled with sunshine, exploring and eating delicious {& super healthy!} food. The local restaurants served such wonderful meals. Fresh fish, salads made with local ingredients and refreshing white wine indigenous to the island of Santorini. Each night we would walk through the village of Oia in order to try a different place for dinner. Each restaurant rested on the cliff overlooking the Caldera which only amplified the romantic feeling this beautiful island had to offer. We ate at places such as the Red Bicycle , Floga and Ambrosia and indulged in delicious gelato every single night.

One of the days we were there we decided to go sailing in order to swim at the different beaches around the island as well as the sulfur springs. We started our adventure at Amoudi Bay which is a quaint fishing village in Oia. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves being on the water. Another afternoon was spent photographing one of my beautiful couples on their honeymoon. This was an incredible experience and I’ll share more in a separate post in a few weeks.

One last thing I should mention. I absolutely loved being a guest at the Canaves Oia Hotel. Everyone who worked there made our stay incredible. The staff was warm and welcoming and they truly went above and beyond in order to give us the best experience. The rooms were gorgeous, the food was phenomenal and the view was out of this world. The Canves Oia is perfect for honeymoons and/or a vacation with someone special. I hope to return someday in the future!

…sigh…I love summer weddings and this wedding held at The Village Club of Sands Point only made me fall more in love with this glorious season. Built in 1916 by Isaac Guggenheim, the estate is a hidden gem of a location nestled in the lovely location of Sands Point, Long Island. When I arrived, I fell head over heels with the beautiful rose gardens, the courtyard dining set up and the privacy this estate had. After their church ceremony, guests traveled to The Village Club of Sands Point where they were greeted with champagne and passed hor d’oeuvres. Georgina, Michael and their guests enjoyed the timeless and elegant feel of the outdoor cocktail hour and as the sun began to set everyone made their way to the beautiful courtyard for dinner and dancing. The reception decor complimented the courtyard location perfectly with low centerpieces and candles. Strands of twinkle lights created the romantic ambiance and everyone danced the night away. I had a wonderful time capturing Georgina and Michael’s wedding day!

Weddings out east are some of my favorites. I love the beautiful light, the salty air and the beachy vibe. Tara and Michael were married on a perfect spring day at a private residence in the Hamptons. Tara and Michael envisioned their wedding day to be elegant yet relaxed and most importantly, centered around their family and friends. Their pastel color pallet tied in perfectly with their backyard setting. Tara’s bridesmaids wore lace dresses and opted for wedges in order to make it easy to maneuver in the sand & grass. Their look was tied together with lush bouquets filled with pale pink peonies, cream colored roses and succulents provided by Mattituck Florist. Tara’s wedding look was classic and elegant. She looked stunning in her lace Pronovias wedding dress. I especially loved when Tara threw on her denim chambray shirt for her cake cutting. For portraits, we traveled to a private beach. Photographing barefoot in the sand is definitely a job perk! Tara and Michael’s reception took place underneath a tent right on the water. Twinkle lights set the warm ambiance for the guests. As the guests danced further into the night courtesy of 74 Events, they were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset. I absolutely loved documenting Tara and Michael’s backyard wedding. What a special place to get married!
