Thank you Style Me Pretty for the lovely feature!
Jacquetta and Elliot hosted their nearest and dearest for their romantic destination wedding at the Hotel Cipriani {yes, where George and Amal Clooney said I Do} and the Hotel Metropole in Venice, Italy this past September. To say that I was incredibly honored that these two Californians asked me to join them for their special day would be an understatement. I’m inspired by the world around me and the fact that I was able to photograph Jacquetta and Elliot’s nuptials in one of the most romantic cities on earth will be something that I cherish forever. From the very beginning of Jacquetta’s planning she had a firm vision as to how she wanted her day to unfold. She knew she wouldn’t be wearing a traditional white wedding gown and that her color pallet wouldn’t be pastel. She wanted to incorporate the richness of Venice into her wedding day and style. In order to do this, she decided to team up with the mega talented ladies of Chic Weddings in Italy and Tea Rose Events in order to bring her vision to life.
Jacquetta and Elliot’s day began at Hotel Cipriani where their ceremony took place outside with a view of the lagoon. Guests were greeted by two masquerade ushers who passed out programs. Jacquetta opted for an incredible burgundy Vera Wang wedding dress paired with feathered Manolo Blahniks and she looked absolutely breathtaking as she walked down the aisle. Elliot’s friend officiated the touching ceremony and both Jacquetta and Elliot exchanged their own, heartfelt wedding vows. Shortly after their ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and were gifted with traditional Venetian masquerade masks. Jacquetta and Elliot mingled with their guests until their boat arrived. This boat transported everyone to Saint Mark in order for the guests to walk to the reception location at the Hotel Metropole. I was able to whisk Jacquetta and Elliot to Saint Mark Square and Cafe Florian for some portraits. It was magical!
After their portraits we made our way to the Hotel Metropole so Jacquetta and Elliot could enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests. After cocktail hour was over, guests were escorted to the dining room which was decorated with lots of candles and gorgeous flowers. Tea Rose Events did an amazing job. Jacquetta, Elliot and their guests enjoyed a 10 course meal and after each course was served, 2-3 guests would give a speech. It was intimate and genuine.
I’m so lucky to have been able to capture Jacquetta and Elliot’s wedding in Venice, Italy and I’m so grateful I had the chance to team up with the lovely ladies of Chic Weddings in Italy! I hope to return soon.

There is so much awesomeness here that I don’t even know where to start! Okay, the dress. That dress! It’s AMAZING!! The shots of them walking outside would not be the same in a white dress. It’d be lost. That red is to die for! Amazing work capturing this fabulous wedding, Lindsay!
